The MDPE End Plug (25mm), also known as a blanking plug or stop end, is a heavy-duty compression fitting used to permanently or temporarily cap off a 25mm Blue or Black MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) pipe. This fitting is essential for sealing the end of a water main during construction, phasing an installation, or decommissioning a redundant service line.

Compliance: Fully WRAS Approved, ensuring the fitting is safe for use with potable (drinking) water and complies with UK water regulations.

Configuration: End Plug – Features one 25mm compression port and a sealed terminal end:

Compression Port (25mm): Specifically designed to receive 25mm MDPE pipe. It utilizes a captive O-ring for a watertight seal and a high-grip grab ring to ensure the pipe cannot pull out under pressure.

Pressure Rating: Rated for a working pressure of up to 16 bar, providing a high safety margin for standard mains water systems.

Installation Method: Mechanical Compression – Requires no heat or specialized tools. The plug is installed by sliding the pipe into the fitting and tightening the nut to compress the internal seal.
