Riello provides two distinct types of electrodes: flame-sensing electrodes and ignition electrodes. The ignition electrode, also refersred to as a spark electrode, initiates combustion inside the burner by creating a spark. On the other hand, the flame-sensing electrodes are responsible for monitoring the burner's flame. This function is crucial because if the flame is not burning properly or is extinguished, the fuel supply is halted to prevent any issues.
