Overview
Viva Sanitary Skylo Dual Entry Cistern Component Pack
Viva Sanitary Skylo Dual Entry Cistern Component Pack (Product Code: SKYCP01) is a comprehensive "all-in-one" solution for refurbishing or installing a close-coupled toilet cistern. It is centered around the revolutionary 4-in-1 Dual Entry Fill Valve, which eliminates the need to carry separate stock for side or bottom entry installations.
What’s in the Pack?
This kit contains everything required to overhaul a cistern's internal workings:
Skylo 4-in-1 Dual Entry Fill Valve (UNI/B): A unique valve that can be configured for either bottom or side entry. It features a heavy-duty 1/2" Brass Thread to prevent cross-threading.
Skylo Dual Flush Valve (SKY005): A cable-operated valve (300mm cable) compatible with both 1 1/2" and 2" outlets.
Universal Chrome Dual Flush Button: Fits lid holes ranging from 20mm to 60mm.
Close Coupling Kit (PP0021): Includes stainless steel bolts, washers, and nuts.
Doughnut Washer (PP0035): A 2" foam washer to create a watertight seal between the cistern and the pan.
Key Technical Specifications
Fill Valve Entry: Side or Bottom (interchangeable).
Flush Type: Full and Partial dual flush (adjustable volumes).
Thread Material: Brass (1/2" BSP).
Delayed Fill: Water-saving technology that only allows the cistern to start refilling once the flush valve has closed.
Float Rotation: 180-degree rotation to avoid internal obstructions.
Warranty: 10-year manufacturer warranty from Viva Sanitary.
Installation Best Practices
Fill Valve Setup: Before installing, determine if your water feed is from the side or bottom. The Skylo valve body rotates and clicks into position to switch between these configurations.
Cable Management: Ensure the 300mm cable for the flush valve is not kinked or trapped against the cistern walls, as this can cause the button to stick or the valve to fail to seal.
Bolt Tightening: When using the stainless steel bolt-through kit, tighten the nuts evenly on both sides. Over-tightening one side can crack the ceramic cistern.
Overflow Level: Adjust the telescopic overflow on the flush valve to be at least 25mm below any opening in the cistern (like the lever hole) but above the full-flush waterline.
