Overview

Adey Mc1 Protector Liquid - 500Ml

Adey MC1+ Protector Liquid (500ml) is a high-performance chemical inhibitor designed to protect domestic central heating systems from the damaging effects of corrosion and limescale. As the flagship water treatment from the makers of MagnaClean, MC1+ is engineered to prevent the formation of magnetite (black sludge), ensuring the boiler and radiators operate at peak efficiency.

Key Technical Specifications
Size: 500ml Bottle.

Coverage: One bottle treats systems up to 125 Litres or approximately 15 single-panel radiators.

Compatibility: Suitable for all sealed and open-vented central heating systems. Compatible with all metals, including mild steel, copper, and aluminium.

Formulation: Concentrated, pH-neutral liquid.

Compliance: Part L Building Regulation compliant and Energy Saving Trust Recommended.

Safety: Non-toxic, non-hazardous, and biodegradable.

Key Benefits
Prevents Sludge Build-up: Effectively stops the chemical reaction that creates magnetite, preventing cold spots in radiators and blocked heat exchangers.

Limescale Inhibition: Reduces scale formation in hard water areas, protecting internal boiler components like the plate heat exchanger.

Maintains Efficiency: By keeping the system clean, it helps maintain heat transfer rates, which can reduce annual heating bills by up to 15%.

Extends System Life: Reduces component wear and tear, lowering the frequency of maintenance call-outs and extending the lifespan of the boiler.

Dosing & Application
Preparation: For best results, systems should be cleaned with Adey MC3+ Cleaner and flushed before adding MC1+ Protector.

Dosing via Filter: The recommended method is to introduce the liquid via the MagnaClean filter canister.

Alternative Dosing: Can be added via a radiator (using a suitable injector) or directly into the Feed and Expansion (F&E) tank.

Maintenance: Inhibitor levels should be checked annually during the boiler service using an MC1+ Quick Test Kit. Top up the system if it has been partially or fully drained.

Restriction: Do not use in single-feed indirect (primatic) cylinders.
