Overview

Floplast 112Mm Half Round Fascia Gutter Bracket Black

The FloPlast 112mm Half Round Fascia Gutter Bracket is a high-strength structural support component engineered to secure 112mm half round guttering profiles to the building fascia board. This bracket is a critical element in maintaining the longitudinal alignment and load-bearing capacity of a residential or light commercial rainwater management system.

Engineering & Material Specifications

  • Material Composition: Manufactured from high-density, unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC). This polymer is selected for its high tensile strength and resistance to structural deformation under heavy snow or water loads.
  • Loading Capacity: Designed with reinforced structural ribbing to provide maximum rigidity. The bracket geometry is engineered to exceed the requirements of BS EN 1462, ensuring reliable performance under peak hydrostatic pressure.
  • Sealing & Retention: Features a pre-fitted, high-performance EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber seal. This "locked-in" gasket ensures a watertight compression seal against the gutter profile while facilitating thermal expansion and contraction.
  • UV Stabilization: The black pigment is formulated with advanced UV-inhibitors to prevent polymer chain scission, surface chalking, and brittleness caused by prolonged exposure to direct solar radiation.
  • Fastener Configuration: Features dual-point fixing apertures. These are countersunk to accommodate standard No. 10 (5mm) stainless steel or zinc-plated woodscrews, ensuring a flush and secure mechanical bond to the fascia substrate.

Technical Installation Profile
This bracket is designed for use with the FloPlast 112mm Half Round Gutter system. For optimal structural integrity and to prevent gutter sagging, it is recommended that brackets are installed at maximum intervals of 800mm, or 600mm in areas prone to heavy snowfall. The "clip-over" retention nibs provide a secure mechanical lock that prevents the gutter from dislodging during high wind events.
