Overview

60mm UFH Clips - Box Of 300

The 60mm UFH Pipe Clips are heavy-duty plastic fixings designed to secure underfloor heating pipework (typically 15mm or 16mm) to rigid insulation boards, such as PIR (Polyisocyanurate) or EPS (Expanded Polystyrene).

These clips feature "barbed" ends that provide a high pull-out resistance, ensuring the pipe stays in its designated layout—usually a serpentine or snail pattern—while the screed is being poured. The 60mm length is the industry standard for 50mm+ thick insulation, providing a deep, secure anchor.

Key Features and Specifications

Quantity: Box of 300 clips.

Length: 60mm (Standard deep-anchor).

Pipe Compatibility: Suitable for 15mm, 16mm, and 20mm UFH pipe.

Material: High-impact polypropylene with reinforced barbs.

Application Method: Can be applied manually or with a standard UFH Tacker Gun for rapid installation.

Coverage: As a rule of thumb, you will need approximately 3 clips per meter of pipe (more on tight bends).

Common Applications

Standard Screed Systems: Securing 16mm PERT-AL-PERT pipe to floor insulation before the sand/cement or liquid screed is applied.

High-Density Insulation: Perfect for 50mm, 75mm, or 100mm PIR boards where a strong grip is required.

Commercial and Domestic: Used in both large-scale commercial floor zones and domestic extensions.

Installation Best Practices

Spacing: Space the clips every 300mm to 400mm on straight runs. On bends, use more clips (roughly every 100mm) to ensure the pipe does not "spring" out of position.

Insulation Integrity: Ensure the insulation boards are taped at the joints. This prevents the clips from pulling up the edge of a board and keeps the screed from seeping underneath.

Tacker Gun Use: If using a Tacker Gun, ensure the clips are loaded correctly in the magazine. 60mm clips are compatible with most universal tacker tools.

Cold Weather: In very cold temperatures, plastic can become brittle. If installing in winter, keep the clips in a warm van or room until needed to prevent the barbs from snapping during application.

Essential Companion Products

Pipe: UFH 100m x 16mm PERT-AL-PERT Coil.

Manifolds: Stainless Steel UFH Manifold.

Specialist Support and Local Collection

300 clips will generally cover approximately 100 meters of pipework, which is typically one standard loop. For larger multi-zone projects, we stock these in bulk quantities.

Visit our trade counter at 61 Fullers Road, E18 2QB for immediate collection. If you are starting a new project, we can help calculate exactly how many boxes of clips and coils of pipe you'll need based on your floor area.
