The FloPlast SG100 Silicone Grease is a high-viscosity, moisture-resistant lubricant specifically formulated for the assembly and maintenance of push-fit drainage and rainwater systems. This technical lubricant is essential for ensuring the longevity of elastomeric seals and facilitating the ease of insertion for large-diameter pipework.

Engineering & Chemical Specifications

• Chemical Composition: Pure silicone-based lubricant. This formulation is chemically inert, ensuring zero degradation of synthetic rubbers, including EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) and Nitrile seals commonly used in plumbing fittings.
• Thermal Stability: Engineered to maintain a consistent viscosity across a broad operating temperature range. It resists hardening in sub-zero conditions and prevents thinning or "run-off" in high-temperature discharge environments (up to 200°C).
• Hydrophobic Properties: Provides a high-performance moisture barrier. The grease is insoluble in water, ensuring it remains on the seal surface during high-velocity water discharge and protecting against oxidative corrosion on mechanical interfaces.

The SG100 lubricant is designed for use on all FloPlast push-fit soil, waste, and rainwater systems. It significantly reduces the friction coefficient during assembly, preventing the displacement or "rolling" of ring seals during pipe insertion. For optimal joint integrity, a thin, even film should be applied to the chamfered end of the pipe and the receiving face of the rubber gasket.
