Overview

Vaillant Cable 0020135119

The Vaillant Ignition Cable (Part No. 0020135119) is a genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) high-voltage lead. It is responsible for carrying the electrical charge from the ignition transformer on the PCB to the ignition electrode inside the combustion chamber. Because this cable handles high-voltage pulses to create the spark that ignites the burner, its insulation and connectivity are critical for a safe and reliable start-up sequence.

Key Features and Specifications
High-Voltage Insulation: Features specialized heavy-duty insulation designed to prevent electrical "arcing" or "leakage" to the boiler's metal chassis.

Heat Resistant: Engineered to withstand the high ambient temperatures found within the boiler casing, particularly near the burner door.

Precision Terminals: Equipped with secure, factory-fitted connectors that ensure a low-resistance path for the spark, preventing ignition delays.

Genuine Vaillant Part: Guarantees that the electrical resistance and length are perfectly matched to Vaillant’s ignition transformers, protecting the PCB from feedback spikes.

Direct Fit: Designed specifically for the modern ecoTEC and ecoFIT ranges for a "plug-and-play" replacement.

Boiler Compatibility
This ignition lead is a standard component for many of Vaillant’s most popular condensing boilers. Common compatible models include:

ecoTEC Plus: 412, 415, 418, 428, 438, 612, 615, 618, 624, 630, 637, 824, 831, 837, 937.

ecoTEC Pro: 24, 28, 30.

ecoFIT Pure: 412, 415, 418, 425, 430, 435, 612, 615, 618, 625, 630, 825, 830, 835.

Home Glow: Various newer system and combi models.

Technical Tip: If you can hear the boiler "clicking" (attempting to spark) but it consistently goes into an F.28 or F.29 lockout, the ignition cable may be at fault. Over time, the insulation can become brittle or cracked, causing the spark to jump to the boiler frame rather than reaching the electrode.

Maintenance and Installation Advice
As this part is integral to the ignition process, it must be installed and tested by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. During a repair, the engineer will ensure the cable is routed away from sharp metal edges and hot surfaces to prevent future insulation failure. It is often replaced alongside the electrodes to ensure the entire ignition path is refreshed.

Essential Companion Products
To resolve persistent ignition or flame-sensing issues, the following genuine Vaillant parts are frequently replaced together:

Direct Product Link: Vaillant Cable - 0020135119

Spark Generation: Vaillant Electrode Ignition & Sensing - 0020195481

Burner Seal: Vaillant Burner Door Gasket - 0020038679

Combustion Safety: Vaillant Combustion Chamber Cover Gasket - 0020195459
